Kailyn Fullerton, M. Ed (she/her/hers), is a passionate educator who believes that introducing children and adults to compassion, emotional literacy, and wise decision-making skills can help to create a more just and equitable future. Kailyn has taught in Thailand, Ukraine and Indonesia, and now as the founder of Upstream Collaborative, supports children, community members and schools in their journey of developing mindfulness and social-emotional learning skills. Kailyn is a doctoral student specializing in social-emotional learning and is also becoming certified internationally as a mindfulness teacher. For her own self-care, she enjoys meditation and yoga, reading fantasy and historical fiction, forest walking, and spending time with family and friends.

Mindfulness with Young Children
We've all heard about the benefits of mindfulness but as early years educators, trying to imagine inviting a group of children to sit down quietly and focus inwards is no easy task. In this workshop, we'll share some practical strategies for bringing a playful attitude to mindfulness in the early years and explore how we can integrate these practices throughout the day.
